About
My name is Nicole Murray. Probably you knew that by now. Born and raised on the East Coast, I spent a lot of my time last year on the Southwest Airlines flight path between PVD and BWI. Good times. (It’s On. In case you didn’t know.) I now work full time for the Washington Nationals Baseball Club in Washington, D.C.
I’ve worked in what could be loosely described as Public Relations since I was in college. Which was at UConn. A theatre major up until about 5 seconds before I moved in, my advisors, coaches, professors and classmates helped shape what I wanted to do, even if I wasn’t sure what to call it at the time.
After college I starting working in higher education communications. Allowing me to jump right in, I wore a lot of different hats and was able to find out where my strengths and weaknesses were, and what I was most interested in.
Things I can speak about (professionally) with some intelligence:
- copywriting
- editing
- social media
- new media
- media relations
- fan development/retention
- promotions
- sports information
- brand experience
- community outreach and relations
Non-professional interests (I can also speak about these at length!) are numerous and varied. Sushi, the television show Lost, Scrabble, wine, rowing, and New England sports are always sure conversation-starters.
Questions? You know where to find me.
