If only everyone was as classy as Eric Wedge.

During the inaugural #sportsprchat one of the topics discussed was Eric Wedge and his departure from the Cleveland Indians organization. The question was posed: What would you do if you were fired but had to continue doing your job for any length of time?

As someone searching for their next job, my thought was that I would use my time in the spotlight to make myself more marketable. If the world is watching, so is your future boss.

I was at Fenway yesterday, watching my Sox beat Cleveland 12-7 to complete the sweep. Eric Wedge went out with class, managing his team until the last out was recorded. As I enter my last week working full time for my current employer, I hope that I can maintain the same work ethic that Wedge has demonstrated. I may not know what my next step is, but I’ll be arguing commas and hyphens till the fat lady sings.
